This film by Alex Gibney traces the story of the former Governor of New York Eliot Spitzer. As the Attorney General of New York he attempted to clean up the financial systems, going after big guns in corporations. He aimed at removing the corruption and excesses of Corporate America and was often saw himself as defending the investor on the street. Unfortunately his own excesses brought to a standstill a career of repute. He was caught for being a regular client of a very expensive prostitute network.
Client 9 explores the case of Eliot Spitzer with testimonials from Spitzer himself.
This multi layered film according to its director Gibney is about political blood sport; what is public and what is private; relationships between men and women and infidelity. A must watch for finance and movie buffs alike.
