Forex Webinars
Webinars have become very popular of late but not everyone understands what they are and how they are used.
What is a webinar? Webinars, sometimes termed web conferencing or online workshops, refers to a service offered by a particular internet site which can be shared remotely and simultaneously across geographically dispersed locations.
One way to view a webinar is to think of it as a conference which you can attend without leaving the comfort of your own home. Most webinars require only a computer, sometimes a telephone, in order for you to listen to a conference call while viewing the webinar text, slides and power point presentations through your internet connection. Generally, you will not see the moderator of the webinar nor do you see the others participating in the discussion. They can’t see you either. However, with your audio connection, you are able to hear the presenter as well as the other participants. You can communicate with them and discuss the information with them and with the webinar host.
Registration is required
You need to pre-register for the webinar in order to ensure you have a place. Once this has been done, you will receive an email confirmation with the information about the scheduled day and time of the webinar. They will also send you the instructions on how to join the program and take part in the live activity. Some webinar lecturers offer you the opportunity to list questions or concerns beforehand so the presenters can prepare ahead of time for the needs and expectations of the audience.
Webinars have become a tremendous source of information to people on many different topics. Not to left behind with this all-encompassing instructional tool, Forex brokers has jumped on to the bandwagon big time and now offer live as well as on-demand webinars to their account holders and anyone else interested in tuning in.
Forex Webinars
Some Forex webinars require a fee but most are free of charge. The most active brokers will list their webinar calendar at the beginning of each month so viewers can schedule their time accordingly. The majority of webinars are presented in English, but some brokers provide webinars in a variety of languages. Market updates are popular webinars, and they are most often presented at the same time at the beginning of each week. These webinars can be extremely beneficial for the Forex trader as they furnish important market news and reports which benefit Forex traders in understanding what is happening across the globe so they can make the proper interpretation of the data before placing a trade.
Some of the other Forex webinars are more like seminars or online classes, starting with the very basics of Forex trading and moving to the more complex analytical webinars for the advanced trader. Most webinars are presented by a Forex broker. You can expect these webinars given to be skewed in favor of the broker offering, whose ultimate goal is that after you have participated in the webinar you will open a trading account with him.
Those webinars not linked to any broker are, of course, more neutral in their outlook and are geared towards providing the trader with the overall general training needed to become a successful Forex trader.
Webinars can be educational and instructive. Participating in Forex webinars has become almost a necessary first step for traders prior to opening a trading account. It is prudent to join several webinars given by a range of different brokers before making any decisions.
